I was sitting in Chapter Arts Centre and discovered how having lunch out with two small children (and their Ma) could make you invisible to some.
I saw a woman come in with small leaflets (B&W above). She carefully looked at people on each table and selected where to leave a leaflet with a brief interaction with the people selected, just a look mainly, but targetted marketing. Then someone that I kknow as a poet - and we have exchanged publications - came in and did the same thing!
No I wasn't given a leaflet. I picked these two up from the table of a pair of lunching ladies...no they didn't want the leaflets.
Both these events interested me...but I didn't interest the people selling them!
